When we first bought our house a year and a half ago, the only thing that the inspector could find wrong with the house was the deck. He told us that that deck was in really bad shape needed to go! It only took us a year and a half, but we finally replaced it!
I forgot to get any before pictures, so these are the best that I could find!
The whole deck was pretty sketchy. Every time you walked down the stairs, it felt like the whole thing might collapse on you! The whole deck shook as you walked up and down the steps. Plus the two main support beams were rotting in the ground! Yikes! We're lucky that the deck held up as long as it did!

The cat was pretty upset when she couldn't got outside when we didn't have a deck!
The first round of steps ended up being way to steep, it was actually pretty terrifying! The girls had to climb the steps like a ladder! So Tyler and his dad had to spend another weekend improving the design so the steps were much safer!
Finished! It looks so nice! Plus it doesn't shake when you walk on it!
