Causey Dive Trip

One of these days we're going to go on some amazing dive trip where the water is crystal clear, and we'll be able to see cool things like tropical fish and coral, but until then, here is another dive trip in a Utah lake! Woot!

The boys wanted to get in one more dive before school started, so they decided to do a quick dive up at Causey Reservoir, which is only half an hour up the canyon from our house.

Eric is so excited to go diving he can barely contain himself!

When we get up there, there is no lake! Well, do you see that tiny little bit of water off in the distance, yup that's the lake. Normally there would be water where I am standing to take this picture!  Because of the major lackage of rain this summer, the lake was probably about 50 feet lower than normal!
The boys hiked all the way down the steep slopes to get down to the water
My dad was planning on going diving with the boys, but he hurt his hand a couple days ago chopping down trees and had to get stitches, so he wasn't able to go diving.
We chose a pretty bad day to go up diving because it was really cloudy, and when the sky is dark, it makes it even harder to see under the water. The boys said that it was really dark under the water, and it was pretty much impossible to see anything.  Plus the water was really cold. So the dive kind of ended up being a flop, but hey! They got to go diving, right?

Giant fish splashing Tyler!
Just kidding... this is just when my dad tossed Tyler his flippers
The sun came out for a second, but only hit the side of the mountain.

Since Audrey doesn't fit into a wetsuit yet, I stayed up on shore with her and my mom.
It was a lot colder up there than I thought it would be, so Audrey had to stay bundled up in her blanket.

Elephant Ears

My sister has much baby knowledge! While she was out here she noticed how Audrey's head flops in her carseat. We tried to give her head support by rolling up blankets, and shoving them in the carseat but that didn't always work.  So Angela told me about elephant ears,
No, not these kind of elephant ears.
These are elephant ears, they have two mini pillows on each side so they support her head! Genious! So we sewed one up in about fifteen minutes, and ta-da! Audrey can ride in the car without flopping!

Yay!Thanks Angela!

Headbands!

When Angela was out here we did a little crafting! I had mentioned earlier that I had really wanted to make lots of flowers and girly things for Audrey before she was born, but I ran out of time! So when Angela came out she brought headband making materials, and  we made flowers for Audrey! Yay! So now I can put pretty flowers on my little girl, so when I go out in public people will know she's a girl!
Angela brought out all of the fun elastics and alligator clips.  So I sewed up all the elastic bands
And we made different flowers that we glued onto the alligator clips
So we can mix and match flowers with different headbands!

I tried to get Audrey to model her new headbands...
but she didn't like that so much!

Pineview!

My sister Angela and her daughter Christine came out to Utah last week! It was a lot of fun spending time with them.  I went over to my mom's every day, and we hung out every single day that they were here.  On Friday, while all the boys were working, we spent the afternoon up at Pineview Reservoir.   We just had a picnic lunch, and I stuck my feet in the water.  My dad tried to snorkel but the water was really murky. We just spent the afternoon up there, but it was still fun!

Audrey liked her first beach experience, she slept the whole entire time!

Here's Christine drinking chocolate milk!

Here's our nice little picnic spot in the shade!

Audrey and me,and she is still sleeping! If you notice her arm flopping down, she always sleeps like that! In her blessing day pictures you can see her flopped just like this when she's sleeping  in my arms.

Two Months!

Audrey is now two months old!  At her two month appointment she weighed 10.1 lbs and was 23 inches long. So she has grown four inches and gained 4 pounds! That's a pound an inch!  She is in the 37th percentile for weight. She was only in the ninth percentile when she was born, so she is growing good!  She got her shots at her appointment, which was no beuno! Poor baby!

She now makes the cutest baby noises now, I love listening to her little coos. She also smiles now, but it's really hard to get a picture of her smiling!  She sleeps pretty good too.  She goes about six hours every night, which means we usually get to sleep from 11 to 5, which I will take!  It's pretty much the whole night, so I am happy!

Here's a silly picture of her smiling!

Our happy little girl!
I bought this onesie just for Tyler, because he was really sad that they only sell shirts that say I heart Mommy. So when I found this one I had to buy it!
Look! She's already a BYU fan already!
I love this dress! So cute!

Cousins....or Clones?!?!

Well, Tyler here with another important post. But no Spanish jokes this time, no this time I am all business because I am here with Scientific Proof that human clones do exist!

Lately, Ashley and I have been talking about how similar Audrey and her cousin Christine look.

Notice stunning mouth similarities?

Audrey

Christine

Also, be sure to take note of the intriguing sleeping positions.

Audrey

Christine

At first, I simply thought that that was a comfortable way to sleep; but after trying to get the feeling back in my fingers for two hours, I realized it is clearly not very conducive to comfortable sleeping.

So, as you can see there are many similarities between these two cousins. Nothing out of the ordinary you say? Well, for those who know Christine, you know of her fascination for the Piano Guys' Peponi. Well, we have come to the conclusion that they are indeed clones. Watch this video and try to tell us otherwise.

Scary isn't it?

Audrey's Blessing Day

Yesterday was Audrey's blessing day.  Our families and friends were able to come celebrate the day with us. After church we had everyone come to our house for lots of yummy food!

Audrey slept the whole entire time while we were outside, even though it was really hot.
My mom made her blessing dress, which turned out so beautiful!
Thank you Mom!

Audrey got to eat before everyone else! Although her lunch probably wasn't as good as ours was!

We set up everything in our backyard, and I was surprised by house nice everything fit. We had the perfect shade in our backyard!

Brian borrowed my apron so he could bring out the crockpot!

One Month

I know that Audrey is older than a month now, but I wanted to do a monthly update so I can see how she grows!  Here are some pictures of our sweet little girl!

I made this headband. I was pretty excited, because before she was born I had huge dreams of all the cutesy flowers and girly things that I would make for her, but being a mommy and holding baby takes up all my time right now, so I haven't been able to make anything yet. So here is my first girly headband for my baby! Yay! I also made a white one for her to wear on her blessing day on Sunday.
Morning nap on the blanket that Mama knitted for her!  She's been doing pretty good at night, Tyler would disagree though.  She's been pretty consistent at waking up every four hours at night. So she'll go to bed at 11, wake up at 3, then wake up at 6 or 7.  But last night was super nice because she slept for six hours! Yay! I really hope that this is a new trend!

I LOVE her blue jeans!   There is just something completely adorable about tiny blue jeans!  Too bad its WAY too hot to wear them! I bought these before she was born, and I didn't realize that it'd be way too hot for pants and that she would never wear them! She usually just chills in her onesie all day.
Right after bath time! Her first bath she just screamed and screamed! But now she likes her bath time! Plus I love bath time because she smells so good afterwards :)
I love when she sucks her thumb! SO cute!

Audrey is a very squirmy baby, but she wont let me put her down, which makes life really difficult sometimes! She loves walks though, so I've started taking her on walks when she's grumpy.  Since I'm holding her all day, I don't get a whole lot of other things done, so I end up watching a lot of TV. I'm loving the Olympics! It's great because there's always something on TV!  Even at three o'clock in the morning there were Olympic overviews on! Woot! Go USA!
