Ten Months

Miss Riley is now 10 months old!

This past month she started taking steps! She's getting really good now, yesterday she took 20 steps across the living room!
She is still a little stinker and loves to get into everything. Even though she isn't our first baby in this house, this time with Riley we've had to really baby proof all the cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom! In the past week she has dumped out the listerine all over the bathroom twice! She also loves plugs and got a good shock last week when she was pulling out the night light! We have to keep a close eye on this girl!
She is starting to babble a lot more with a lot of different sounds, and Tyler is excited that she finally says "dadada"

She has learned to clap and wave. She also says "mmmmmwaaa" for a kiss!

Her nicknames are Ri-Ri, Bubba, and Stink Pot! The girls still like her, so I think we'll keep her around!

Christmas

All dressed up for Church at home!

Christmas pajamas! This is the first year we've done matching Christmas pajamas!
The stockings were hung...
I sewed everyone new stockings this year, since we only had four matching stockings. It took me all of December, but I was happy that I got them done the day before Christmas eve!

Mollie wanted to hold up some mistletoe!
Our Christmas eve dinner. My family always does tamales or chimichangas on Christmas eve, so this year I thought I'd finally join in the tradition and make chimichangas! They were really yummy!
Christmas morning!
The girls had a great Christmas and after just opening two presents Madelyn was screaming "This is the best Christmas ever!" Audrey and Mollie got lots of Legos and a Lego table to store their giant lego collection. Madelyn got a toy washing machine that she was dreaming of ever since the toy magazines came out! We also got a game called sleeping queens that Madelyn loved so much we probably played it a million times over Christmas break!
Playing with their new legos and lego table!

We had a nice Christmas at home this year. Tyler's parents came over for Christmas dinner and Tyler smoked a Christmas ham!

Visiting Santa!

A family in our neighborhood made Santa's Village in their backyard! They built a whole western town in their backyard, that they transformed into the north pole! It was pretty amazing!
We got to safely visit Santa this year! They had it roped off to keep a safe distance, and everyone had to wear facemasks. Bu the girls were super excited that they got to see Santa and get candy canes!
It was pajama day at school that day, so the girls were all still wearing their pajamas!

Dance Recitals

Because of COVID the girls weren't able to have normal ballet recitals this year. Their teachers had to record the dances, and sent us the recitals. Mollie and Madelyn danced to the 12 days of Christmas, Rockin' around the Christmas tree, and the Spanish Chocolate dance from the Nutcracker. Audrey did a tap dance to A Ride on Santa's Sleigh. They all did a great job!

Here they are all ready for their recitals!

December

Decorating the Christmas tree!

It was a debate weather Riley loved the Christmas tree more or Cookie

On December 1st, Tyler had surgery on his nose to fix the damage from breaking his nose from when he was younger. Tyler was nervous about the surgery at first, but now he's super glad that he did it! The doctor said that one side of his nose was mostly blocked, and the other side was pretty much all the way blocked! Tyler says that before the surgery it was like breathing through a coffee straw, and now there isn't even a pipe big enough to compare to how much air he is breathing now! We planned the surgery so it was perfectly between thanksgiving and Christmas so it wouldn't interfere with the holidays! He was in bed for a week, and after that he was pretty good! The worst part was probably when Riley smacked him in the face!

Angela sent me a bunch of clothes for Mollie, and there were three shirts that matched shirts that Audrey had! The girls were so excited to be twins!

We've only had a couple of snowstorms this winter. We got a few inches and the girls built some pretty good snowmen!

Making gingerbread houses out of graham crackers!

Making gingerbread cookies!

And we can't forget about cookie!
