First weeks home

Yesterday was Riley’s due date, and she is now three weeks old!
What a crazy world Riley was born into!  Grocery stores are empty, schools are closed, parks are closed, Toilet paper, diapers and wipes are impossible to find in the stores! It's been pretty stressful being a new parent in these times, but we're trying to make the best of it!  Luckily Tyler has 16 weeks of parental leave from work, so he's been able to help out a ton!

Welcome home Riley!
Since they still don’t really have any sufficient data on the effects of the Covid19 virus on babies, they told us to be super cautious, and to not have any visitors.  It’s been really sad to not have Riley meet her grandparents!
They girls still think that Riley is super cute, and they like to be helpful and get me diapers and pick out her outfits.

Mollie's favorite outfit!

Thank goodness Tyler has been home, because he has been able to take care of the girls homeschooling. I would have been so overwhelmed if it was just me at home, I don’t think the girls would be getting any homeschooling done! At first the girls were super excited about doing school with daddy, but now the novelty has worn off and they want to go back to school!
Madelyn wants to be home-schooled too, so we have to find things for her to do too!

We got a new TV! The TV in our bedroom died, and Tyler was super excited to have any excuse to get a bigger TV! Our old TV moved to our bedroom, and the new big TV went in our living room. Tyler’s dad came over and helped Tyler mount it! Due to our strict quarantine policy, Tyler’s dad was a good sport and wore Tyler’s outfit he saved from the c section!

The weather hasn’t been very cooperative for quarantining! We’ve been stuck inside for weeks, and haven’t been able to go outside because it’s been so cold! Since we’ve brought Riley home, there have been two big snow storms! Bigger than most of the storms we got all winter! I put up all our snow gear a month ago, so we had to get all our gear out of the garage so the girls could go out and build a snow man at the end of March!

Then a few days later, they were out washing the car... that’s Utah weather for you!
