Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone at the beginning of June. We had planned this trip with my parents back in January. But with the virus, we didn't know if we'd be able to go! Our trip was planned for June 2nd, and the West Gate opened up on June 1st! We were so lucky to be able to still take our trip!
On the first day we stopped at the entrance to take a picture, and when we got out of the car we lost Riley's binky! We really wish we had it that day with all the driving we did! By the end of the day she was pretty grumpy!

Audrey made a checklist of everything she wanted to see in Yellowstone. She had to see Old Faithful, Elk, and buffalo! We only saw two elk, but we did see tons of buffalo!

When we talked about Yellowstone, we kept calling it the park. So when we got to Yellowstone Madelyn wanted to go play at the "park". When we told her we were in Yellowstone park, she got mad and said "I thought Yellowstone would be more funner! Its just trees!" Luckily after we were able to get out and see things, she liked it more.

It was pretty busy, so we had to wear our face masks all of the first day!

I forgot to pack a hat for Riley! We tried to keep her face covered, but we weren't very successful, and she ended up getting sunburned on her cheeks! Poor girl! So we we really grumpy that night. Luckily we were able to buy some aloe vera at a gas station, and that helped lot!
The second day was cold and rainy! So instead of protecting Riley from the sun, we he had to protect her from the rain!

We got soaked on our last hike! We had tons of thunder and even hail!

The girls said they wish they could've lived here forever as long as we could bring cookie!
