Back in December we finally got our new roof!
If you remember back in November 2013, we lost part of our roof in a big wind storm! Underneath the aluminum shingles were the original cedar shingles, which still held up, so we weren't in a huge rush to fix the roof.
We had originally planned to re-shingle the roof last April. Tyler took off some time to do it, but that weekend ended up being my grandpa's funeral so we had to postpone doing the roof. The roof just kept getting put off and put off, until nearly a year later, and we finally just had a roofing company come out and do it. Luckily in the end, the insurance company finally came through and ended up paying for it!
Before they did our roof, my dad and Tyler took off all of the aluminum shingles so we could get some money from a recycling place.

Hooray! We are super excited to finally not have to worry about our roof anymore!
