Poor Momo

On the first day of school, after school Mollie and Audrey were playing and they bonked heads. Mollie was crying a lot and saying her head hurt but Mollie does cry a lot, so I wasn't too worried about it. But she kept crying and crying, and kept curling up in her bed and on the couch saying her head hurt. Which wasn't as normal for Mollie. And then she started throwing up a lot, which I knew was a sign of a concussion! So Tyler took her to the pediatrician, and then the pediatrician agreed it was a concussion and they had Tyler take her to the ER to get a CT scan! We think that the concussion was caused from an earlier head bonk when we were camping Mollie fell off the camp table and fell right on her head. She was fine when we were camping, but I think when Audrey and Mollie bonked heads, it re-injured her.

It was pretty late by the time they were finally able to get a CT scan, so Mollie was exhausted! They gave her that stuffed dog, and its now her favorite stuffed animal!  The doctor saw something on the CT scan that they wanted to double check with an MRI so they sent us to Primary Children's the next day to get an MRI.

They told us to take Mollie the the ER at Primary Children's because it would be the quickest way to get an MRI. But since it wasn't a dire emergency, Tyler and Mollie had to wait 8 hours in the hospital! And since Mollie had a concussion they wouldn't let her watch any TV so Tyler had to entertain her all day! After hours of  eye spy and simon says, they finally got some markers and paper and Mollie drew a million pictures!

After hours and hours of waiting she finally got scanned and everything looked fine! Thank goodness! It was a lot of waiting and worrying for nothing, but we were definitely glad there was nothing wrong!

She was excited the MRI machine was a pirate ship!

Mollie had to take it easy the next few weeks. The first few days she wasn't allowed to watch TV or have any screen time, which was difficult. And then she wasn't allowed to play outside at recess or ride her bike. It was really hard for Mollie to take it easy, but she's doing a lot better now!
