Happy 5th of July!

Since the 4th was on a Sunday this year, we had a whole weekend of celebration!

First off, here's a cute fourth of July crafty-craft that my mom, Jessica, and I made!

On the fifth of July we went to the Layton parade! This year the parade was extremely popular and we were crowded out of our spots by all the kids anxiously holding grocery bags in anticipation for all the taffy they were about to get! Last year, Zachary was pretty hillarious as he shouted out, "Hey! Where's the candy?!"

Before the parade began we attempted to play Nertz, which proved to be rather difficult with a little Trevor bugs crawling all over the game :) he enjoys playing cards just as much as we do!

After the parade, Tyler and I went down to Salt Lake to meet our friends Hollie and David. They were up here visiting some friends, so of course we had to at leat see them for a little bit. It was fun to see them!

That night after a yummy barbecue, Zachary nearly had a meltdown when he found out that we didn't have any sparklers, or fireworks for that matter. So Tyler and I went on a secret mission to find fireworks! We found a tent that was still open and bought a few little things that we thought the little boys would like. We bought parachutes, and little fountain things, and a few sparklers. We thought that the boys would like catching the parachutes but it turned out that the loud bang freaked Brian out! So after we lit it, we would count down and all yell POP! Until the firework POPPED!

They had a lot of fun with the sparklers!
