First Home Project!

Lucky for us, we moved into a house that didn't come with a lot of projects to do since the whole entire house was re-done. But that didn't include the yard. When we first moved in to our house, the front lawn was completley dead, which wasn't a big deal becuase there was still snow on the ground. But then we started to notice that all of our neighbor's grass was green, so what was wrong with ours?!

A few weeks later, it started to grow, but it wasn't grass, it was all crab grass. So our first home project began! We decided to rip it out and lay sod. A couple of weeks ago, Tyler and Kyle rented a back-hoe and ripped up our whole entire front lawn! Tyler thought that this was going to be a one day project, but turns out in the words of Tyler, "I think that grass was planted by Satan himself". The roots are pure evil, and impossible to rip out. So it took the boys and their back hoe all day to pull that stuff up. Our yard was a big mound of that crab grass stuff, so to level it out they dug up piles of dirt, and by the time the all the sun was gone, we had a HUGE mound of dirt in our driveway and no way to move it till Monday, AND our car was stuck, becuase no matter how hard we tried, I don't think that the Colt could go four-wheeling over that mound. So Monday night my dad and Tyler were able to move the huge mound of dirt, so we could get to our driveway! We had a dirt yard for about a week, till last Saturday Tyler and Kyle layed the sod! Yay! So now we have a yard, that is not evil crab grass!

I didn't get any pictures of the process, but here is the dirt yard right before they layed the sod

Here is the completled project! Hooray!
