The Best Two Years!

Tyler and I have now been officially married for two years now! Ca-Razy! To celebrate the best two years of our lives, we went to Lava Hot Springs. It was a fun trip. There wasn't a whole lot to do up there, but we still had fun. We stayed at the Lava Hot Springs Inn, in "The Cottage" We thought that the cottage would be near the Inn, but it was actually across the street and behind the grocery store! Weird! But being hidden behind a grocery store gives the added bonus of privacy I guess! The cottage had JUST been painted (just as in they were still painting the outside when we got there!) The inside had the most interesting paint job that I've ever seen. They painted the walls a beige-ish color, and the ceiling bright blue. It was the exact same shade as blue paint tape! And to make things even more beautiful they attempted to paint clouds on the ceiling with the same beige paint! I guess they painted it this way to give you the magical feeling that you were actually looking at the real sky! So magical...

Here is the cottage!


The inn had their own hot pools, so on Friday night we just chilled in those pools, planning to spend the next day in the big swimming pool they have up there. There is a huge swimming pool with a couple of water slides. So on Saturday we had planned to do that, but right as we went to pay someone had an accident and they had to call 911, and close down the pool for a bit. So we decided not to do the pool. Which actually turned out to be a good idea because it got pretty cold that day! We also had wanted to go tubing down the river, but the river was super full and was a raging river of death, so we didn't do that either. So basically we ended up just soaking in the hot pools the whole time! So our trip was relaxing!
