Moab Trip!

Last week Angela, Jeff, and Christine flew out here to spend the week here. We wanted to go camping that weekend, so we headed down to Moab! It was a lot of fun, but it sure was HOT!

We headed down there Friday morning and got there probably around the hottest part of the day. We set up camp and decided it was too hot to do anything, so we walked around town, and also went to the grocery store to stock up on lots of water bottles! Then we headed up to Arches to do some of the shorter hikes.

The nights were so incredibly hot! The first night we had our rain flap on our tent because it was really windy, and we didn't want sand blowing in our faces, but the second night we didn't care and slept with it off so we could get a breeze going so it wasn't quite as hot!

On Saturday we hiked in the morning, and came back to camp and napped in the afternoon. Then we took a nice air conditioned ride over to Dead Horse Point National Park, where you can overlook canyonlands. We had the DeLeeuw's wiener dog Lizzy with us for the trip, and during the ride over to Dead Horse Point, she had a little accident and stunk up the whole entire car!! Oh boy... it stunk so bad. Jeff snuck Lizzie into the bathrooms and gave her a bath in the sinks! haha, and then we washed down the car with baby wipes and hand sanitizer, which helped a little bit. Then when we got back to town we bought an air freshener for the car! By the time we had to drive home, the car smelled good!

We had a photo contest going on the whole entire time, so we took lots and lots of pictures! So here are a bunch of photos from out trip!

Oh I am so sad I wasn't there. I looks like so much fun! Sorry about Lizzy. Poor thing. Glad you could buy air fresheners.

We had such a fun trip. You posted fabulous pictures! Christine wearing the fur hat was my favorite, but maybe I'm partial.
