Ogden Temple

As most people probably know, they are permanently closing the Ogden temple on April 1st. The temple is going to be completely taken down to the foundation, and rebuilt. I am sure there are many reasons why this temple has to be re-built, but it will be very sad to see it go.

This temple holds a special spot in mine and Tyler's hearts. On February 13, 2009, Tyler proposed to me on the temple grounds, then four months later, on June 25, 2009 we were sealed for time and all eternity inside this beautiful temple. This temple is also very special to the Keyes family. Tyler's grandparents were sealed here in June of 1972, Tyler's parents were sealed here on August 1st 1981, then Tyler's sister Christy and her husband Nate were sealed here May 25, 2004.

These grounds were kept beautiful by Tyler's dad for twenty two years. He was the grounds supervisor, and he loved coming everyday to come make the Ogden temple grounds beautiful. When we got married there two years ago, Tyler's Dad planted all pink flowers for us, since my wedding colors were pink and pink!

It is sad to see our temple torn down, but I'm sure it will be very beautiful when it is complete.

Since they are closing this week, Tyler and I had to make one last temple trip before the final closure. When we went, we are able to go see the very room that we were married in. It was really special to us to be able to go in it once more.
